Zcash (ZEC) reached a new multi-year peak just above $1,000, with gains exceeding 21% in the past 24 hours. Trader Garrett Jin suffered a loss of over $18.5 million on a short position of 32,760 ZEC, currently worth over $33 million. The token crossed the $1,000 threshold for the first time in eight years, having doubled in value since August 19. Data from CoinGlass shows that the total value of liquidated ZEC positions reached $36 million, with Jin’s loss accounting for half of that amount.
