Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has delayed its IPO to the second quarter of 2027 at the earliest, according to two sources close to the matter cited by CoinDesk. The company had filed a confidential registration with the SEC in November 2025, a few months after raising $800 million at a $20 billion valuation. Despite this delay, Kraken posted solid results with adjusted revenue of $508 million in the second quarter, up 17% year-over-year, 6.6 million funded accounts, and $40 billion in assets on its platform. The company has also multiplied acquisitions, purchasing Bitnomial for $550 million and Reap for $600 million, transforming itself into a full-service financial platform. The crypto IPO market has cooled, with major players like Grayscale, Consensys, and Ledger also pushing back their listing plans.
