Charter CFO Jessica Fischer joins Blackstone-Google AI venture

Jessica Fischer, CFO of Charter Communications since October 2021, will leave the company on October 15, 2026, to join the newly formed Blackstone-Google joint venture focused on AI infrastructure. Blackstone has committed $5 billion in initial equity to the venture, which will rent access to Google’s custom Tensor Processing Units to external customers. The target is to reach 500 megawatts of operational capacity by 2027. Benjamin Treynor Sloss, a former senior infrastructure executive at Google, has been named CEO of the new entity. Charter stated that the transition would not affect its financial outlook.
