Uphold has officially confirmed the imminent launch of the « Earn on XRP » feature at the XRP Vegas Conference. The platform currently holds approximately 1.62 billion XRP tokens, representing 1.63% of all XRP in global circulation, positioning it among the world’s top three exchanges by XRP reserves alongside Upbit and Binance. Chief Product Officer Paul Underwood stated that development took longer than planned but promised details would be revealed in the coming weeks. To circumvent the lack of native staking on the XRP Ledger, Uphold will use DeFi lending protocols and wrapped tokens through its partner Flare Network. The platform is also pursuing New York’s BitLicense to comply with U.S. regulations.
