The Dutch central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB), has relocated 86 tonnes of its gold reserves from the United States and Canada to London to enhance crisis preparedness. The gold is now held in the Bank of England’s vaults. The Netherlands’ total gold reserves amount to 612.4 tonnes. This decision reflects a strategy to centralize gold reserves in locations where they can be mobilized more rapidly in the event of a financial crisis.
