Under his guidance, Como 1907 finished fourth in Serie A, securing the club’s first ever qualification for the UEFA Champions League. This represents a 27-point improvement from their 10th-place finish in the 2024-25 season. Fabregas becomes the first foreign coach to win the AIC Coach of the Year award in its modern form.
