Bitcoin Unfazed by Trump’s Iran Threats

Bitcoin barely moved on Monday despite President Trump’s threats against Iran, with the price holding steady at $79,076, unchanged over 24 hours and flat compared to a week ago. The biggest cryptocurrency has risen nearly 30% over the past month, its best performance in three years. This surge followed the US Treasury’s announcement to double its liquidity-support buyback operations, which hurt the dollar while benefiting non-yielding assets like bitcoin and gold. Positive regulatory developments, including the Clarity Act which aims to establish a framework for distinguishing between digital assets as securities, commodities or payment stablecoins, and $2.8 billion flowing into ETFs from August 17 to 27, have also supported bitcoin’s price.
