Robinhood Chain Surpasses Ethereum and Base in Fees: The Small Chain Playing in the Big Leagues

Share

Just two months after its launch in early July 2026, Robinhood Chain generated more fee revenue than Ethereum and Base over the past thirty days, with 3.13 million dollars versus 2.47 million for Ethereum and 2.89 million for Base. Over twenty-four hours, the gap widens significantly: 495,477 dollars for Robinhood Chain compared to only 25,746 dollars for Ethereum, a factor of 19 between the two networks. This performance relies almost entirely on the PONS launchpad, which generated 4.9 million dollars in fee revenue in twenty-four hours and cumulative trading volume of nearly 209 million dollars over thirty days. This dominance remains fragile as it depends on a single speculative token protocol, without the diversification between lending, exchange, and derivatives seen on other networks. Ethereum, for its part, has seen its direct mainnet fees mechanically reduced since the Fusaka update in December 2025, which doubled blob capacity for layers 2.
