Cramer: Why Tim Cook deserves more credit for his accomplishments as Apple CEO

Tim Cook stepped down as Apple CEO on Monday after fifteen years at the helm, passing the torch to John Ternus, formerly the company’s hardware chief. Under his leadership, Apple shares rose approximately 2,280%, compared with about 555% for the S&P 500, and the company’s market cap grew from roughly $350 billion to more than $4.7 trillion. Jim Cramer believes Cook never received the credit he deserved, constantly living in the shadow of late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. The analyst argues that Cook’s accomplishments went beyond mere operational management, pointing to the expansion of services, share buybacks, and sustained consumer loyalty. Apple’s services business now generates approximately $82 billion in revenue, representing about 20% of the company’s total sales.
