President Donald Trump on Sunday attacked NBC « Meet the Press » host Kristen Welker, suggesting she would be reported to the Federal Communications Commission for saying he had « mixed results » with candidates he endorsed during this election cycle. The U.S. Treasury also denied credentials to economics journalists from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg to attend this week’s G20 meetings in North Carolina. The Trump administration has previously sought to restrict press access, and the president ordered FCC chairman Brendan Carr to examine biased reporting and polls used by the media. The Trump administration has long criticized the press, calling it « fake news ».
