Chelsea have signed Argentine goalkeeper Emi Martinez from Aston Villa for £7.5m. The 33-year-old World Cup winner with Argentina has signed a three-year contract with an option to extend. He will wear the No. 26 shirt at Chelsea, previously worn by club legend John Terry. He is expected to make his debut against Arsenal, his former club, after missing the Brighton match due to late registration. Martinez leaves Aston Villa after making 256 appearances, as the club invested around £30m in Japanese goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
