BitGo has acquired NYDIG’s institutional trading division for approximately $42.5 million in a two-step transaction. The deal includes $7 million in cash and about $35.5 million in BitGo stock, with additional contingent payments potentially reaching $15 million. The acquisition provides BitGo with derivatives, structured products, financing and capital-markets solutions targeting asset managers, hedge funds and family offices. It complements BitGo’s existing regulated custody, settlement and wallet infrastructure. For NYDIG, the sale allows the company to sharpen its focus on power generation, Bitcoin mining and high-performance computing data centers, with a development pipeline exceeding 3 gigawatts.
