Bamboo Insurance Services files for $100M IPO on NYSE

Bamboo Insurance Services filed its S-1 with the SEC on August 28, 2026 for a $100 million initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker BMB. The tech-enabled homeowners insurer, valued at $1.75 billion when CVC Capital Partners acquired its majority stake in 2025, reported $173 million in revenue and $13.8 million in profit for the first half of 2026, compared to $124 million and $23.7 million respectively during the same period in 2025. Founded in 2018 by John Chu, the company specializes in California wildfire-prone regions and has expanded into Texas. Managed premiums across its platform are approaching $900 million. J.P. Morgan and Morgan Stanley are leading the offering as joint bookrunners, while Bamboo itself will receive no proceeds since shares will be sold by existing stockholders.
