French centre-back Dayot Upamecano has scored his first goal of the 2026/27 season for Bayern Munich. Across more than 180 appearances for the Bavarian club, his goal tally remains modest, largely coming from set pieces and headers. Bayern Munich had a difficult start to the 2026/27 season, losing 2-1 to Borussia Dortmund in the DFL-Supercup on August 22. Signed from RB Leipzig in July 2021, Upamecano has extended his contract through June 2030, with an estimated market value of 75 million euros as of mid-2026.
