Three staff members from the military news outlet Stars and Stripes are suing the Pentagon over their recent firings, accusing the Trump administration of violating their First Amendment rights. Max Lederer, Erik Slavin, and Lara Korte were dismissed last week after publishing a report on deteriorating conditions aboard the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln. The lawsuit names the Defense Department and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth as defendants, and was filed Thursday in Washington, D.C. Lederer was fired shortly after announcing his upcoming retirement.
