Avici neobank hacked, over $600K drained from user accounts

Avici, a neobank built on the Solana blockchain, is at the center of a security incident that has drained more than $600,000 from user accounts. The losses stem not from a compromise of the platform itself but from a coordinated wave of phishing attacks using fraudulent websites impersonating Avici, including getavici.today. These sites tricked users into connecting their crypto wallets under the pretense of claiming airdrops, allowing drainer malware to sweep funds. Avici’s self-custodial model, where users retain control of their funds, makes it impossible to reverse any maliciously signed transaction. The platform has not confirmed any internal breach and continues to post product updates on its official channels.
