In the second quarter, twelve of the fifteen largest institutional shareholders of Strategy increased their MSTR positions, for a net total of 700 million dollars. Goldman Sachs nearly quadrupled its stake to reach 555 million dollars, while Capital International remains the top shareholder with 3.49 billion dollars, representing 9.4% of the capital. Between late May and early August, the company sold nearly 7,000 bitcoins before raising an additional 2 billion dollars between August 17 and 23. Bitcoin, which had fallen to 63,500 dollars in mid-August, has since recovered 26% to hover around 80,000 dollars. The next 13F filings, expected around November 14, will reveal whether these same investors maintained their positions through the July-August sales and the recent dilution.
