Morning Minute: Solana Jumps with Network Inflation Set to Drop

Solana (SOL) surged roughly 44% in August, its strongest month since 2024, climbing back above $105 for the first time since January. The network closed its first binding onchain governance vote with all three proposals passing above quorum, including one doubling the disinflation rate from 15% to 30%, removing approximately 18.9 million SOL from the projected issuance schedule and reducing staking yield from about 5.25% to around 2.25% within three years. DeFi Development Corp purchased 19,000 SOL for $1.86 million, while Charles Schwab announced plans to add SOL, AVAX, and LINK to Schwab Crypto, granting access to tens of millions of brokerage accounts. BTC sits at $79.6k and ETH ETFs recorded $225 million in net inflows.
