Southampton have completed the signing of their former captain James Ward-Prowse from West Ham United. The 31-year-old midfielder, who left for around 30 million pounds in August 2023, has seen his playing time plummet this season with just 60 minutes played across two substitute appearances. The transfer fee is expected to be modest, in the low millions for West Ham. Ward-Prowse, who made 410 appearances for Southampton between 2011 and 2023, is now set to experience Championship football with the club he joined as an 8-year-old academy player.
