Share

British AI cloud startup Nscale has initiated the process for a US IPO, with Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan advising, aiming to raise up to 3 billion dollars with a listing expected as early as September 2026. Spun off from cryptocurrency miner Arkon Energy, Nscale operates data centers in Norway and West Virginia and rents GPU computing power to AI players under the neocloud model. The company has secured a massive contract: Anthropic, publisher of Claude AI, committed to spending 45 billion dollars over six years to rent computing capacity from Nscale, lending credibility to its offering just weeks before the IPO. Among its supporters are Microsoft, Nvidia, Dell and Nokia, as well as Sheryl Sandberg and Nick Clegg on the board of directors. Once listed, the shares will be accessible to French investors through brokers providing access to US markets.
