Strategy briefly surpassed its average cost basis on its 840,447 BTC when bitcoin reached $75,613, showing an unrealized gain of $192 million. BitMine faces an unrealized loss of $5.79 billion on its 5,815,164 ETH purchased at an average cost of $3,366, with ether trading around $2,370. Neither company is subject to forced selling: Strategy’s convertible debt matures between 2028 and 2032, and BitMine holds no liquidable leveraged positions. To break even, BitMine would need ether to rise by 42% to $3,366. The company does generate passive income by staking 87% of its ETH holdings.
