We’re booking a five-fold profit on one of drug stock’s rally to record highs

Jim Cramer’s Charitable Trust sold 10 shares of Eli Lilly at roughly $1,269 each, locking in a gain of approximately 430% on shares purchased in February 2022. After the sale, the trust holds 80 LLY shares, reducing the stock’s weighting in the portfolio from 2.9% to 2.6%. Eli Lilly shares hit a fresh record high on Wednesday, up more than 7% for the week and 18% year-to-date, with a market cap approaching $1.2 trillion. The sale reflects no change in the long-term positive view of the company and its position in the obesity market, particularly its GLP-1 drug Foundayo, which is gaining ground on Novo Nordisk’s oral Wegovy.
