Israel carried out eight airstrikes on the Abu al-Duhur airbase in Syria’s Idlib province, approximately 70 km east of the Turkish border. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan condemned the strikes as a violation of Syrian sovereignty, while the United States labeled them an unnecessary escalation. Since late 2024, Israel has conducted nearly 1,000 airstrikes in Syria, primarily targeting threats linked to Turkey and the Syrian Democratic Forces.
