Blockchain analytics company Chainalysis filed a lawsuit against the US government at the Court of Federal Claims on July 27, challenging ICE’s decision to award a sole-source contract to competitor TRM Labs. The contract is valued at approximately $94.6 million and covers forensic software and support services for Homeland Security Task Force investigations. Chainalysis described the decision as arbitrary, capricious, and unreasonable, stating that its economic interests would be affected by the award. The complaint remains sealed as it contains confidential information and trade secrets. TRM Labs intervened in the case on July 28, with responses due Friday and oral arguments scheduled for September 2.
