Berkshire Hathaway increased its stakes in U.S. homebuilders during the second quarter, raising its position in Lennar by nearly 30% and establishing a new stake in D.R. Horton. The conglomerate also continued to grow its investment in Alphabet, bringing its total holding to approximately 106 million shares worth $37.76 billion as of June 30. Meanwhile, Berkshire sold all of its 632,890 shares in Constellation Brands and significantly reduced positions in several financial firms, including Capital One Financial by 58%. Greg Abel, who took over from Warren Buffett at the start of the year, also agreed in June to make a $10 billion stock investment in Alphabet.
