OpenAI CFO Sarah Friar announced at an internal meeting that the company’s enterprise product revenues have officially surpassed its consumer business. The company’s annualized recurring revenues exceeded $20 billion in 2025, compared to roughly $2 billion in 2023 and $6 billion in 2024. This growth reflects a significant shift in OpenAI’s business model, which relied on consumer subscriptions for 75 % of its revenue as recently as October 2024. Denise Dresser, the company’s Chief Revenue Officer, had projected that enterprise revenues would constitute 50 % of the total by the end of 2026, a target that Sarah Friar’s announcement suggests has already been exceeded.
