Norges Bank Investment Management, which runs the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund ($1.7 trillion), holds approximately $400 million in crypto assets through indirect exposure. This exposure stems from its equity stakes in companies like Strategy, MARA Holdings, Coinbase, and Tesla, which hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets. According to estimates from K33 Research, the fund’s Bitcoin holdings grew from 796 BTC in 2020 to 11,549 BTC in the first half of 2026, representing approximately 0.03% of its assets under management. Strategy remains the single largest contributor as the world’s largest corporate Bitcoin treasury holder.
