Qihoo 360 and Zhipu AI, two major Chinese artificial intelligence companies, unveiled their cybersecurity tools at the ISC.AI 2026 conference in Beijing. Qihoo 360 launched the Yitian Tulong suite, claiming it has already identified 3,432 software vulnerabilities with 105 confirmed by Chinese authorities. Zhipu AI’s GLM-5.2 model achieved results comparable to Anthropic’s Claude Opus 4.8 in targeted bug detection tests. Zhou Hongyi, founder of Qihoo 360, nonetheless acknowledges a 20 to 30 percent gap in raw capabilities with US models and proposes deploying a multi-model specialized team rather than a single model. This Chinese progress comes amid US restrictions on AI chips and increased controls on Western models’ vulnerability detection capabilities through programs like Project Glasswing.
