Nvidia’s Rubin Ultra targets 768GB of HBM4E as Kyber platform stays on schedule

Nvidia’s Rubin Ultra GPU will feature HBM4E memory up to 768GB via 12-Hi stacks, compared to 288GB of HBM4 in current Rubin GPUs. The original design targeted 1TB but was revised downward due to anticipated supply constraints in the HBM4E production chain. Nvidia has denied reports of a potential 2028 delay, reaffirming a second-half 2027 launch. The Kyber platform, including NVL144 and NVL576 systems, remains on schedule. SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron supply HBM4E, with SK Hynix regarded as the current leading producer.
