Google ad phishing scam drains $550,000 from Hyperliquid user, security specialist says

A phishing scam via a Google ad managed to steal $550,000 from a user of the decentralized trading platform Hyperliquid, according to a security specialist. In April, the nonprofit crypto security organization Security Alliance (SEAL) announced it had blocked 356 malicious Google ad URLs over a period of several weeks. This blocking operation highlights the scale of the threat posed by fake ads targeting crypto users on search engines.
