Ukrainian military intelligence (HUR) has recovered an Nvidia Jetson Orin computing module from the wreckage of Russia’s newest S-71 Monochrome cruise missile, designed for the Su-57 stealth fighter. This missile carries a 250 kg warhead with an estimated range of 350 to 400 km, using this AI chip to identify and lock onto targets during its final approach phase. A total of 35 foreign electronic components from the United States, China, Switzerland, Japan, Germany, Taiwan, and Ireland have been identified across various Russian weapons systems. This discovery follows a broader pattern: similar Nvidia Jetson Orin modules were found in Shahed drone variants in 2025. For Nvidia, already facing US export restrictions on its most advanced chips to China, these revelations add further political pressure.
