The Bank of England has selected NOBO Finance, Dun & Bradstreet and Polygon Labs for Phase 2 of its Digital Pound Lab, focused on SME credit data and cross-border trade. The consortium will develop an SME Bankable Profile combining Dun & Bradstreet’s commercial data, wallet activity and open finance information to generate reusable credit assessments. The project will also test eBL-backed invoice factoring with multi-rail settlement, enabling exporters to receive financing through stablecoins while UK importers settle in digital pounds. The goal is to help SMEs establish portable financial identities and access faster cross-border settlement through interoperability between stablecoins and the digital pound.
