According to the 2026 Philips Future Health Index U.S. report, artificial intelligence is beginning to yield tangible results in healthcare. Nearly 49 % of U.S. clinicians report saving at least 132 hours per year thanks to AI, while 36 % have increased their patient capacity by an average of five additional patients per week. AI is also improving patient safety: 27 % of healthcare professionals say they identified or prevented at least three medical errors in the past three months using these tools. Additionally, 93 % of clinicians believe human oversight remains essential as AI advances in the sector.
