Morgan Stanley raised its 2026 forecast to 50,000 units from China, representing a market value of approximately $2 billion, roughly a 2.5x increase over 2025’s total global shipments. Global investment in humanoid robotics startups reached $4.39 billion in the first half of 2026, potentially exceeding total capital invested in the sector over the previous decade. In response to this dominance, the United States banned imports of new Chinese humanoid robots starting July 28, 2026, citing national security concerns.
