Eliza Labs founder sells $25M in ElizaOS tokens as project collapses after lawsuit

Shaw Walters, founder of Eliza Labs, sold his entire ELIZAOS token holdings for approximately $40,000, down from a peak paper value of $25 million. This sale, necessitated by tax obligations, occurred as the project collapsed after a class-action lawsuit settlement drained the foundation’s treasury to zero. The token price plunged approximately 99% to around $0.00025, pushing the market cap below $3 million. Walters officially declared the ELIZAOS token dead on August 4, 2026, adding he has no plans to issue a new token. The open-source ElizaOS framework will continue to exist under his ownership, but without any financial connection to token holders.
