AI stocks staged a massive rebound this week, with the Nasdaq gaining 5.2% and the iShares Semiconductor ETF jumping 7.6%. U.S. jobs data surprised to the downside with nonfarm payrolls falling 23,000 in July, easing concerns about a Fed rate hike in September. Nvidia ended the week up more than 11%, its best weekly performance in over a year, after SpaceX announced it will build its AI infrastructure exclusively on Nvidia. In the portfolio, positions were increased in Corning and Intel while Micron was added to the Bullpen, and CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks were trimmed after hitting record highs.
