Senate to vote on Clarity Act, key step for US crypto regulation

The U.S. Senate is set to vote on September 15 on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act of 2025, also known as the Clarity Act. This bill, which aims to establish a federal framework for digital asset regulation, has previously passed the House and the Senate Banking Committee. The Clarity Act seeks to allocate regulatory oversight between the SEC and the CFTC, providing clearer guidelines for digital commodities and assets classified as investment contracts. Market pricing currently estimates the bill’s passage likelihood by the end of 2026 at 16.5%.
