SpaceX has signed an exclusive partnership with Nvidia for its AI infrastructure needs. Bernstein analysts warn this deal could push Elon Musk’s company to the front of the line for Nvidia chip allocations. This poses a threat to neoclouds like CoreWeave and Nebius, which have each received 2 billion dollars in equity investments from Nvidia and rely on preferential access to the manufacturer’s latest silicon. Both companies have targeted over 5 gigawatts of AI compute capacity by 2030, but any delay in chip deliveries risks losing customers to competitors able to deliver on time. TSMC’s advanced packaging capacity, particularly the CoWoS technology essential for Nvidia’s most advanced chips, remains a persistent bottleneck in the broader GPU supply chain.
