Despite this major underperformance, the bullish community sentiment remains the second highest in the market, surpassing Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Ripple (XRP), according to CoinMarketCap. The Pi Network team has rolled out several technical improvements since early 2026, including the migration to protocol v26 with a mandatory deadline for mainnet nodes set for August 11, and protocol v27 described by some observers as the « final upgrade ».
