Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has reported 15 separate missile and drone attacks on its vessels in the Strait of Hormuz since the start of the Iran-UAE conflict on February 28, 2026. These attacks have left one person dead and 20 others injured, including eight casualties from the July 14, 2026 strikes on the crude carriers Mombasa B and Al Bahyah in Omani waters. UAE air defenses have intercepted 537 ballistic missiles, 2,256 drones, and 26 cruise missiles since the conflict began. ADNOC CEO Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber has characterized the strikes as acts of economic terrorism in violation of international maritime law. ADNOC’s production has continued despite the attacks, but insurance premiums for vessels transiting the region have risen sharply.
