MARA Holdings cut its Bitcoin holdings by nearly 34% in the first half of 2026, falling from 53,822 BTC at the end of 2025 to 35,577 BTC as of June 30. The company sold approximately 20,880 BTC for roughly $1.5 billion in Q1, using the proceeds primarily to repurchase about $1 billion of convertible debt. Total digital asset holdings dropped to under $2 billion, down from around $4.7 billion six months earlier. MARA ended its full-HODL strategy to adopt a policy allowing strategic monetization of its Bitcoin reserves, while diversifying into AI and high-performance computing infrastructure.
