KOSPI, Nikkei Reverse Gains as SoftBank, SK Hynix Both Drop

The KOSPI and Nikkei 225 reversed early gains as SoftBank, SK Hynix, and Kioxia all declined amid a broad memory chip selloff. SoftBank, the Japanese technology conglomerate, suffered from weakness in the semiconductor market. SK Hynix, the South Korean memory chip maker, and Kioxia, its Japanese counterpart, also experienced losses in this widespread selling.
