Coinbase has launched commission-free trading of nearly 4,000 US stocks for eligible UK users, making it the first crypto-native trading platform to offer US equities in the UK. This expansion follows the company’s authorization to provide investment services in the UK, allowing it to broaden its product suite beyond cryptoassets. Users can invest from as little as £1 through fractional shares while managing stocks, crypto, and fiat assets in one application. The exchange said trades can be funded instantly using GBP or USDC, and Coinbase One subscribers will receive uncapped rewards on USDC holdings. The launch advances Coinbase’s vision of becoming an « Everything Exchange » where users can trade any asset at any time.
