Bigo Live partners with Esports World Cup 2026 for MENA coverage, and its crypto payment rails matter

Bigo Live, a live streaming platform that has accepted Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT and USDC since November 2022, has become an official content partner for the Esports World Cup 2026. The deal covers three highly popular mobile games in the Middle East and North Africa: PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Honor of Kings, with the tournament scheduled from July 2 to August 23, 2026 in Paris. The Esports World Cup 2026 features 25 separate events with a total prize pool of 75 million dollars, a record in esports history. Owned by Singapore-headquartered social technology company JOYY Inc., Bigo Live thus provides millions of MENA esports fans access to content on a platform already equipped with digital asset payment infrastructure. JOYY Inc. trades on NASDAQ under the ticker YY.
