KKR closes record $19.2 billion infrastructure fund with data centers in the crosshairs

Private equity giant KKR has closed its largest ever infrastructure fund at $19.2 billion, with a primary focus on data centers and energy transition assets. More than $9 billion has already been committed across nine investments, including Global Technical Realty in Europe and EDF Power Solutions in North America. Demand from hyperscalers like Microsoft, Google and Amazon is driving premium valuations in this segment. KKR currently manages approximately $120 billion in infrastructure assets and has committed $31.3 billion to digital infrastructure over the past six years. This fund follows the launch of the Helix Digital Infrastructure platform, developed with Nvidia and Vistra with over $10 billion earmarked for AI-powered data centers.
