Ripple announced strategic investments in Zilo and Licuido, two UK-based companies specializing in the tokenization of financial assets. Zilo, which provides global transfer agency solutions for wealth managers, has raised 58.7 million dollars in equity funding according to Traxcn. Licuido is regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority. These investments aim to bring regulated transfer agency, issuance, and collateral mobility to the XRP Ledger infrastructure, enabling tokenized funds to be used as collateral from the point of issuance.
