Ripple announced on August 3 investments in ZILO and Licuido, two companies specializing in tokenized fund infrastructure and institutional asset trading. ZILO provides transfer agency and fund administration technology enabling asset managers and custodians to obtain regulated digital records for tokenized share classes. Licuido operates an FCA-regulated platform supporting the issuance, distribution, trading, and use of traditional assets as digital collateral. Ripple will integrate these capabilities with its XRP Ledger infrastructure and use the RLUSD stablecoin as the regulated cash component for delivery-versus-payment transactions. The company declined to disclose the size of either investment.
