NATO is set to take command of the Security Assistance Group-Ukraine, with a transition from US leadership expected to unfold over the next year. The group, based in Wiesbaden, Germany, has coordinated more than $60 billion in US defense contributions to Ukraine since its establishment in November 2022. Ukraine has received over $212 million in cryptocurrency donations since the start of the conflict in February 2022, primarily in Bitcoin and Ethereum. This funding source, which bypasses diplomatic negotiations and works even when banking infrastructure is compromised, complements traditional military aid channels. NATO has already deployed its own structure, the NSATU command, involving roughly 700 personnel from more than 28 nations.
