The political group known as the Squad has announced its endorsement of Abdul El-Sayed in the upcoming Michigan Democratic Senate primary. He faces Representative Haley Stevens to replace retiring Senator Gary Peters. Market odds give a 30.5% probability to an El-Sayed victory with a 10 to 15% margin. In Oakland County, however, Stevens leads with 77% according to the same indicators. This primary is seen as a major stake for the ideological direction of the Democratic Party.
