The vulnerability reduced Coldcard’s system from a 128-bit to a guessable 40-bit complexity, while Ledger uses 256-bit entropy and Trezor operates different code entirely. Despite these reassurances, Bitcoin sentiment dropped to a four-month low, with the price falling nearly 3% to $62.4K, its lowest level in two weeks. Spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded $265M in net outflows on Friday, and Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong recommended air-gapping keys to improve physical security.
